These Inventory items are intended to be for stock, non-job specific items like drawer guides, hinges, screws, etc. You can export these pages as PDF files, and print them to be used as KANBAN cards.

Adding QR Codes to your KANBAN’s

To add QR Codes to your Inventory pages, you can use the link below to QRCode Monkey, and create your own QR Codes for free.

It’s really easy to do, and there are lot’s of options, including adding your logo to the QR Codes you create.

  1. From the Inventory page you want to create a QR code for, click on the three dots in the top right corner of the page, then click ‘Copy Link’
  2. Go to QRCode Monkey, and choose the URL tab
  3. Paste you URL into the ‘Your URL’ field
  4. Make any other desired changes
  5. Click the ‘Create QR Code’ button
  6. Click the ‘Download PNG’ button
  7. To keep track of multiple QR Codes, you might want to name the file, then save it somewhere you can find later
  8. Go back to your Inventory page and type a / down in the body of the page, and choose Image
  9. Choose the ‘Upload File’ option
  10. Browse to your file and choose it
  11. You can then resize it if it’s too big for your taste, and then reposition it if you prefer it indexed left or right rather than centered

Point of Use

When you come to a KANBAN card while using Inventory:

  1. Scan QR Code and that will take you to the item in the Inventory database
  2. Change the Status to “Below Minimum-Order” or “Below Minimum-Pickup”

Purchasing Department

When Purchasing Agent gets notification that Inventory Item Status has changed:

  1. Place an order
  2. Change the KANBAN card status to “On Order”

Receiving Department

When item arrives:

  1. Check Inventory item(s) in per Receive Materials-Misc. Procedure
  2. Take Material to location listen on KANBAN
  3. Change KANBAN card status to “Good”
